DESCRIPTION:Academic Convocation is intended to introduce new students to t
 he traditions and expectations of our academic community the Friday before
  classes begin. The program is designed to be an important part of develop
 ing in our new students an initial sense of belonging to the institution. 
  Academic Convocation is intended to advance the centrality of academic li
 fe to the St. Mary’s experience.\n\n \n\nSt. Mary’s alumna\, Alexandra
  McLennan (B.S. ’21)\, will deliver the keynote address.\n\n \n\nFaculty
  and Staff:\n\n9:30 a.m.\, Begin assembling in cap and gown\, AA&CC Concou
 rse\n10 a.m.\, Academic procession into Greehey Arena\n\nAcademic regalia 
 is required to participate in the academic procession. Faculty and staff w
 ho do not own regalia are still invited to attend and sit in general guest
