The start of a new academic year is approaching, and University Convocation is a time to gather as a community to reflect on our successes and what the new year may bring.

During Convocation, we will present the 2024 President's Awards for Excellence to three employees who showed exemplary leadership, innovation and service during the past year. We will also celebrate faculty and staff members who have reached a milestone in years of service.

This year's President's Award for Excellence recipients are:

• Catherine Casiano, J.D., Assistant Dean for Admissions, School of Law
• Frank Hernandez Jr., Sergeant, University Police Department
• Thomas Madison, Ph.D., Ed Boyle Professor of Accounting, Greehey School of Business

A reception will follow in the Auxiliary Gym.
