Level Up: Surviving and Thriving After Tenure
Friday, January 10, 2025 9am to 9pm
About this Event
325 Mission Valley Rd, New Braunfels, TX 78132
#StMULevelUpThis workshop provides professional development for faculty in the specific period after tenure and before going up for full professor. It is designed for all associate professors in the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Greehey School of Business and School of Science, Engineering and Technology.
The workshop on Thursday, Jan. 9, will offer opportunities to reflect on our professional identities and the alignment of those identities with our personal goals and professional requirements, and to develop new strategies for work-life balance. Faculty will also be introduced to the new faculty handbook's requirements for achieving the rank of Full professor and will get to ask its framers questions.
The continuation of the workshop on Friday, Jan. 10, will provide those eligible to go full in the next two years the time to draft and workshop their applications in a supportive environment. Eligible faculty members are invited to stay over at the Newcombe on January 9th, to take full advantage of this opportunity.
Stay tuned for information about how to RSVP, and how to reserve your spot for the overnight component and Friday, Jan. 10.
