Most people today know John the Baptist because of his connection to Jesus. But did you know that originally, Jesus was actually known for his association with the more famous John? This guest lecture by James F. McGrath of Butler University will explore the historical John the Baptist and his influence on Christianity, Gnostic communities, and the Jewish world of the first century C.E.
